Disconnection warning for 800 UK file-sharers.

Virgin Media have sent letters to suspected file-sharers, although the ISP is resisting the order to threaten disconnection (articles here, here and here).

This was a result of the UK goverment’s decision that ISPs take responsibility for dealing with the issue of file-sharing. As a large majority of young people use some sort of file-sharing regularly. This move may have a massive effect nationally.
